Danelle has a twin sister and a close-knit supportive family. She is recently graduated from University where she studied business management. Danelle is currently working as a tutor/nanny for a 13 yr old boy. She loves working with children and has extensive experience with ages 2 and up including having worked at a daycare. She has done a first aid course and will do a refresher course as part of the House o Orange training program. Danelle is happy to help with light housework and admits to being good at doing laundry. She is very neat and well organized. She also loves to cook and can make any type of pasta or stew. Hobbies for this very outgoing girl include going on adventures, hiking, running, cycling, Pilates and playing tennis. She is very social and loves meeting new people. Leandra is one of our older more mature au pair STAR candidates from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She drives and cycles (she is very tall) and swims. Her native language is English and she speaks Afrikaans fluently as well and would like to learn Dutch. Leandra is an oldest child and has a much younger teenage brother. She still lives at home with her mom and brother. Leandra has a lot of childcare experience and has worked in a creche for 6 months with ages 0-2, has been a local au pair both with older kids and with a baby and has done babysitting. She is currently working as a nanny with children aged 9 and 15. Leandra is happy to care for all ages 0-15 yrs old. She has done our House o Orange training and has done first aid. Leandra knows how to cook and can make simple meals such as burgers and wraps and salads. She is neat and happy to help with light housework. She spends her free time volunteering at Animal welfare centers and walking the dogs that are up for adoption. Needless to say, she would love to care for animals as well as kids. Chandre has three older brothers and is the only girl in her family. She loves children and has volunteered at a creche as well as having babysitting experience with all ages. She is happy to care for ages 0-8 yrs old. She will help with light housework and likes things to be in their proper place. Chandre can help with cooking and can make basic meals such as spaghetti and burgers. She enjoys pets and will certainly help care for them. Bianca is another of our wonderful au pair STAR candidates! She is 20 years old and speaks Afrikaans (mother tongue) and English fluently and is interested in learning Dutch. Bianca drives, cycles and swims. She is a very fit, strong, sporty girl who is also creative and active and who adores children. She has a lot of experience with babies and new borns as well as older children up to the age of 12 yrs old and she would be happy to care for all ages. Bianca is happy to help with light housework and cooking and baking are one of her passions ( pasta, meats, vegetables, salads, fish, baking cakes and she also loves to try new recipes) Other hobbies for Bianca include reading, going to the gym and being active as well as being in nature. She is extremely patient and she will go out of her way to make sure that the children in her care are well taking care of. She loves to be outdoors with them, playing sports such as tennis and gymnastics or going swimming. She is also more than happy to care for pets. We can't wait to see her au pair in Holland!

Heidi is an au pair STAR who is a student and has applied to au pair for the end of 2021! She drives, cycles (and is just tall enough for a bakfiets) and swims seasonally. She is busy finishing off her degree in tourism management and speaks native Afrikaans and fluent English and would love to learn to speak Dutch fluently. Heidi is an excellent teacher and has worked as a teaching assistant and has done volunteering and babysitting. She would really like to work with school age kids aged 4 and up and might consider working with a child with special needs. Heidi enjoys cooking and currently cooks on a daily basis; she can cook anything from a recipe. She is neat and prefers a clean environment. Heidi enjoys pets and has experience with dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits and even snakes! She would love to care for pets. She is described as highly creative (she likes making her own clothes for instance), musical (she plays ukulele and can teach children too), outdoorsy and active!

We are seeing an increase in demand for male au pairs and we are pleased to have such great candidates like Andre! He cycles and swims. Andre is very sporty and active and has good team working skills. He speaks native Afrikaans and fluent English and is interested in learning Dutch and German. Andre is one of 4 kids and has two much younger brothers (12 and 11) that he has helped care for. He has also been a cricket coach and has done babysitting for various families. The ages that he would like to work with are 4 and up. He would be a good match with very active, sporty children. Andre is happy to help with light housework and can make basic meals. She currently works fulltime as a nanny for a 7 yr old boy and has worked as a Sunday school teacher, an assistant teacher and has done babysitting. It is fair to say that Keraleigh truly enjoys working with children! She has not experience with babies and would like to work with ages 1 and up. Keraleigh has a certificate in remedial teaching and has not preference as to the number of children in her care. She loves to cook and has cooked for up to 7 children at once and on a daily basis. Orama is an oldest child who has 2 younger sisters that she is helped care for. She also has loads of babysitting experience and has done volunteering. Her preferred age group is 4 and up and she is familiar with ADHD and happy to consider special needs children. She is a good cook who cooks 4 times a week and can make curries, home made pies and past and she loves following recipes. She is also neat and will care for pets. She is happy to care for any number of children. Marisca will help with light housework, she is neat, and she loves cooking and trying new recipes. She loves animals and will of course care for them. Chane is an au pair STAR candidate from Pretoria, from South Africa. She speaks Afrikaans (native) and good English and should learn Dutch qcuickly. She cycles and swims but does not drive. Chane has done first aid. Chane has babysitting experience with ages 4 and up and these are the ages she is most comfortable with. Light housework is not problem for her, she is neat and values cleanliness, including cooking simple dishes and baking. Chane is unfortunately allergic to cats but is happy to care for dogs. Her interests include going fishing, hiking and camping (she loves the outdoors) as well as listening to music, dancing and she rides horses. She is described as patient and assertive and outgoing. Chane loves playing board games, doing arts and crafts and playing outside with the children in her care.

Anya is a wonderful au pair PLUS from the South Africa who is currently busy finishing off her au pair program in the USA. She has excellent time management skills and is very organized. Anya is bilingual English/Afrikaans and is interested in learning both Dutch and German. She really loves working with children and is currently an au pair to 3 little ones, a baby, a toddler who is 2 and an 8 yr old). Anya is happy to care for all ages and up to 3 children at once. Anya is musical and is teaching herself how to play the Ukulele. She also likes reading and painting and spending time with friends while drinking a nice cup of tea. Shaznay is a lovely au pair STAR from Brits, South-Africa who is looking for a host family. Shaznay's native language is Afrikaans and she speaks English fluently and would love to learn Dutch. She does not drive but she can cycle (she is tall and should be able to handle a bakfiets fairly easily) and swim. Shaznay is an independent young lady who has already lived on her own and who is by far the oldest child in her family and her siblings are 0-11 yrs old. She has helped care for her siblings since they were small and has a lot of independent babysitting experience with ages 1 and up. She does not feel that she has enough experience to care for a newborn baby. Shaznay is very neat and happy to help with light housework including cooking (she cooks 4 times per week). She has babysitting experience with children aged 3 and up and this is the age group she is most comfortable with. Izel might be willing to care for children with special needs. Afrikaans is her native language and she also speaks English fluently. Mayim also speaks sufficient German and is interested in learning Dutch and improving her German language skills. She grew up with her mom who is a teacher and older siblings. Mayim has been babysitting since 2015 and has experience with all ages but prefers children aged 1 and up. She might consider working with a child with special needs. She cooks 3 times per week and her favorite dishes to make are lasagna, curried chicken and spaghetti bolognaise. Mayim is happy to help with other light household chores and actually enjoys cleaning. Animals are not an issue for her either and she will happily care for them. Ilanza is a hometown girl and from our very own Melkbosstrand, Cape Town. She is a tall, strong girl and she has 3 older brothers and a sister. Ilanza cycles and should easily be able to tackle a bakfiets and she is a strong swimmer. She is sporty and has done athletics coaching. She is fully bilingual English/Afrikaans and eager to learn more languages (Dutch, Russian, German.. who knows!). Ilanza has plenty of babysitting experience and is able to care for older children 4 and up especially. We feel that she is particularly suited to a family with active kids (boys!) or sporty girls. She is not your typical girly girl. Ilanza is happy to help with light housework and she is a good cook who also likes to bake. She loves animals but is unfortunately allergic to cats. Hobbies for this soft hearted girl include kickboxing, netball, tennis, MMA, field athletics and action netball (did we mention the fact that she is very sporty?).

Luke is a new au pair STAR from Cape Town South Africa. He is an oldest child who has helped raise his 7 yr old and 5 yr old siblings. His sister is also on the House o Orange au pair program and will be in Holland shortly. Luke speaks native English and has a grasp of Afrikaans which will help him learn Dutch. He has been to university at Stellenbosch and has lived on his own. Luke has been babysitting since the age of 16 and is good with children 4-15 yrs old (he does have experience with younger kids too but this is the age group he is most comfortable with). Luke drives, cycles and swims. He is also artistic and sporty. Luke is happy to work for a single parent and he will help with light housework including cooking - he is very capable of making standard meals. He has no experience doing laundry however but is more than happy to learn. He is also more than happy to help out with pets. Luke is described as active, compassionate and patient. She has lived on her onw as she stayed in a hostel during school for 2 years. Melandi has a lot of babysitting experience and is able to care for ages 1 and up. She is happy to help with light housework and she cooks once a week, dishes like lasagna and mac & cheese. She likes a clean and tidy space and is neat. Melandi loves pets and will happily feed and walk them. She is honest, loyal, friendly and caring. She is the only daughter and has younger as well as older brothers. Milicent loves children and has a lot of babysitting experience with all ages but she is most comfortable with ages 1 and up. She is happy to work with a child with special needs. Milicent is an committed cook who loves making pasta and soups. She cooks daily. Rea is a middle child and has two sisters. She has gone to college and has studied to be a professional chef and needless to say, she is a great cook who would be happy to cook for her host family and can cook a wide variety of foods. Rea cycles and swims and meets our height requirements for a "bakfiets". She has a lot of childcare experience working as a babysitter for multiple families and is happy to care for all ages 0-12 yrs old. She might consider working with a child with special needs. Rea is a neat person who is a happy to help with all aspects of light housework. She will also gladly help out with pet care. Hobbies for this talented chef include reading, singing and dancing, learning languages (she is currently learning Norwegian) and she is loves to play musical instruments like the piano and the ukulele. She is able to care for babies as well as older experience and is happy to care for up to 3 children. Eldine is a good cook who cooks every other day for her family and can make oven baked chicken, salads, pasta's and much more. She is neat and happy to help with light housework and will gladly care or pets. In her free time this considerate, open minded young lady likes to sing, dance, go swimming and she loves baking and cooking. Michaela loves caring for children and has worked as a creche assistant during her school holidays, has done a lot of babysitting and is now ready to au pair. Natasha is from Cape Town and native English speaking. She speaks Afrikaans to a sufficient level and is interested in learning more languages such as Spanish. Natasha does not drive but she cycles and is tall so a "bakfiets" should not be an issue. Natasha also swims and loves keeping fit by hiking. She is a girl guide with loads of experience babysitting, in fact, she started her own local babysitting business in 2018 and has been caring for children ever since. Ellie speaks native English, cycles and swims and is learning how to drive and has studies first aid. She is part South African and has a good understanding of Afrikaans which should help her learn Dutch, which she would love to do. She also speaks German to an intermediate level after having studied it for 6 yrs. Ellie loves pets and would be happy to care for them. She is also a good cook and enjoys cleaning so assisting with general housework would not be an issue for her. But most of all, she loves caring for children! She particularly enjoys bringing out their creative side and has done tutoring as well. She is happy to care for all ages from babies to older children. In her free time this outgoing young lady likes to go hiking and camping. She would eventually like to study medicine and become a doctor like her mother.

Lara loves children and has a lot of childcare experience both as a holiday club leader and babysitter and currently as a local au pair with children aged 4 months and 14 months. She speaks native Portuguese and would like to become even more fluent in English. As an au pair she cared for 5 children aged 0 and 2 and 14,16 and 17 yrs old. Bianca also has babysitting experience and has cared for all ages 0-12 and is happy to care for all ages as well as ANY NUMBER OF CHILDREN. She has experience working with special needs children and would consider it again. Bianca has done first aid. She is happy to help with light housework including ironing. She is also neat. She has experience caring for a now 1 yr old boy, has experience caring for her cousins, has done tutoring with ages 2 and up and she is comfortable caring for ages 0-12. Celine is relatively tall and can cycle and ride a motorbike. She does not drive. Celine is happy to help with light housework and will also care for pets, especially dogs. In her free time, this happy, active girl likes to play badminton. She has also played volleyball and basketball. She also enjoys gardening and taking care of her collection of succulents.

Hannah cycles (and is just tall enough for a bakfiets) and swims. Hannah loves doing yoga, likes to go swimming and jogging, enjoys listening to music and likes watching live performances. She is happy to care for pets and has experience caring for cats. Hannah loves working with children and has done a course in how to safeguard them. She is happy to care for ages 2-16 yrs old as these are the ages she has most experience with. Hannah can help with light housework and knows how to cook both Thai and Western cuisine.
